A drama for a deactivated skin
*A Drama for a deactivated skin* is a short series of graphite drawings on paper representing marine animal thecae and shells. My interest in life forms with carapaces is triggered by the fact that, post-mortem, their external form remains almost intact. Unlike creatures without an exoskeleton, whose deaths takes away what is external, revealing an inmost hidden essence, the subjects represented here, once everything internal is dissolved, the shape, devoid of substance, is consecrated to a silent and vacuous immortality.
