Serie di ibridi
The large charcoal drawings that compose the present series are the result of several years of reflexion, inspired by prehistoric cave paintings, especially those of Lascaux: An obsessive longing to combine animal and human, unifying them in a cycle of constant overlapping of prey and predator, guided me in drawing these figures – making them, from time to time, monkish and gifted, incomplete and finished, chaste and lascivious – to exorcise the converging relationship of the human being with the definition of itself, its opposites, and God.
